Job Overview:
The Executive Director serves as the chief operating executive of ACCESS, responsible for overseeing the fundraising, administration, key programs, strategic plan, and community outreach of the organization. The position reports directly to the executive committee. This role requires a self-motivated, dynamic, inspirational leader who can effectively articulate the vision of ACCESSGaF to a wide range of stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, investors, partners, donors, and the community at large.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organization Lead: Drive the operations and ensure the growth of its programs
- Leadership & Management: Create, inspire, lead, and manage the organization towards continued growth and impact. Ensure the attraction, retention, and development of high-quality resources including interns, volunteers, board, etc.
- Foster a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans that meet business goals and objectives created in partnership with the Board of Directors and relevant stakeholders. Ensure the integration of ACCESS strategic plan into day-to-day operations.
- Financial Performance & Viability: Develop resources and action plans sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization. Responsible for fiscal management, including budgeting, reporting, and audit oversight.
- Fundraising & Communication: Spearhead revenue-generating and fundraising activities to support existing program operations and regional expansion.
- Enhance ACCESSGaF’s image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professional, civic, and private organizations.
- Program Development & Operations: Oversee the planning, implementation, execution, measurement, and evaluation of the organization’s programs. Ensure that services and funding relationships are robust and consistent with the mission and strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in business administration, public administration, nonprofits, or related fields preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in the private sector, nonprofit organizations, or government sector.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategic plans.
- Deep understanding of financial strategies and finance-related performance metrics.
- Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, and program development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Commitment to ACCESS’ mission and values, and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
